Rogers Charitable Fund: A Tax Deductible Way To Help Workers/Protect Nature In Coffee Communities

SAN LEANDRO, CALIF. (October 26, 2005) Want to help build a school, medical clinic, save a sloth or jaguar in coffee farm communities AND get a break from Uncle Sam?

You can through the Rogers Charitable Fund – the nonprofit arm of the Rogers Family “Community Aid” program which for more than a decade has improved the quality of life for thousands of workers and protected nature in coffee farm communities throughout Central America.

We formed this nonprofit because many of our customers over the years have asked how they can directly support Community Aid. Unlike some other nonprofits, 100 percent of funds go directly to our partner communities for such philanthropic projects as building schools such as “Escuela San Francisco de Asis” in Santa Maura, Nicaragua. Not a cent is used for “administration” so you can be assured that you’re indeed helping to ‘make a difference.’

In addition to helping fund projects to improve the living conditions of farmers, workers and their families and protect the environment, the Rogers Charitable Fund also provides grants that help pay for the college education of deserving children who work on the farms. Also, the Fund has contributed to various local community projects.

With a donation, you can help support “socially/environmentally responsible” coffee production and receive a tax deduction.
